The tale of the group of close friends around the same common passion called motorcycle is already told.
And because they had to bare a name, one of our famous meetings took place in the established formula, where you hardly understand each other, where each person's personality conflicts with the other's ideas, but which in the end yields the best results.
There were many proposals, many opinions, settled for some points and - as for any trully important decision - a vote was taken. I am proud that my idea took shape and was accepted unanimously.
Therefore I consider myself to be the most able to explain the motivation behind the choice of the name Valah. In the beginning, like the name of a newborn, it may not have meant much to many of us, but as our child grew and shaped its personality and character, borrowing the qualities of the members, the name Valah has become a reason of pride and a symbol for friendship and loyalty to our motorcycle club members.
„Why Valah?" ... because we are proud of the fact that we are descendants of the great Bessarabian family - people who did honor to these places, earning an important place in the history of Valahia. Whether it is Mircea the Elder, Vlad Ţepeş or Constantin Brâncoveanu, there is no inhabitant of these lands who is not proud of the legendary figures of the 33 voivods who reigned in Tîrgovişte, the ancient seat of Valahia.
Our emblem, just like the coats of arms of the ancient knights, contains elements with historical connotation (the crown of the Chindia Tower, the medieval shield and the knight's cross), combined with symbols of motorcycling (wings wide open to freedom and the image of the engine that gives us the power to cross hundreds of kilometers in our rides).
This is why the horsepower knights of our days, the motorcycle riders of Tîrgoviste, pay tribute to those who gave us our name by trying to contribute as much as we can to the reputation of the city guarded by the Chindiei Tower .
